Joe Porter

Joe has worked in pensions since 2007. He leads on a number of secretarial appointments, including sole trusteeship appointments and as part of a Trustee board.

Prior to joining Independent Governance Group, Joe started his career in pensions administration but soon moved into trusteeship.

In addition to acting as scheme secretariat for schemes, he has experience in project managing a range of exercises including buy-in/out transactions and scheme wind-ups. Joe is conversant in reviewing scheme documentation as well as preparing and maintaining scheme governance documentation.

Joe is registered as an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute, undertakes Continued Professional Development and has a number of industry qualifications including an Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision, a Diploma in Pension Calculations, and Award in Pension Trusteeship.
