With over 25 years’ pensions experience, Rachael works as a professional trustee and scheme governance expert.

Rachael rounded and extensive experience of advising pension scheme trustee boards and sponsoring employers of all sizes on a range of complex pensions issues and in a variety of sectors.

Rachael has helped clients with their journey plans and been involved in managing several pensions related projects such as scheme mergers and de-mergers, wind-ups, and liability management exercises.

Rachael is a naturally collaborative person with an open and direct style and have an innate bias to question and positively challenge. I approach problem solving in a collaborative and balanced manner, ensuring that all trustees receive the information they need to participate in the debate and add value to the decision-making process

Rachael has the commercial acumen to drive positive results and work in a collaborative and pragmatic way, developing strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Rachael is a fully accredited trustee with the Association of Professional Pension Trustees (APPT).

Worked with multiple schemes at all stages of the pensions lifecycle, from new scheme establishment to closing DB sections and wind-up or buy-in / journey planning to buy-out.

Experience of using a variety of investment strategies including Liability Driven Investment, fiduciary management, and agreeing de-risking triggers.

Project managed one-off projects such as benefit design changes including closure to future accrualand liability management exercises.

Lead schemes, varying in size from £20m to £3bn, to co-ordinate the provision of actuarial, investment, administration, DC, communications, health and benefits, and legal services.

Co-ordinating the merger of five schemes with assets totalling £2bn. This involved working with five sets of trustees, the sponsor, and five sets of advisers.

Scheme Secretary on a £3bn scheme when the in-house pensions team was disbanded. Project managed an ETV exercise and a scheme split project to separate one scheme into four individual
schemes organised by business line.

Worked with a scheme sponsor significantly impacted by Covid-19 to manage risk by triangulating covenant, investment, and actuarial advice in an integrated way.
