Scott brings over 20 years’ experience of project managing and delivering projects such as data cleansing (including GMP equalisation), buy-ins and buy-outs, and liability management exercises.

He has helped to bring a number of high profile and time critical projects to a successful conclusion. Most recently, this has involved acting as project lead on a £130m full DB scheme buy-out exercise, two separate DB pensioner buy-out exercises totalling £270m and a number of de-risking, data cleansing (including GMP equalisation) and liability management exercises.

Scott has a strong knowledge of the challenges faced by Trustees when assessing the impact of M&A activity and executing their endgame solutions, scheme wind ups, actuarial valuations, investment risks and the requirements of good scheme governance. He also has a strong technical background and enjoys keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in pensions.

Scott has also provided a strong focus on scheme governance to ensure that decisions are taken by trustees in line with legal requirements, as well as maintaining a good working relationship with the scheme sponsors and the associated scheme providers.

Prior to joining IGG, Scott gained a wealth of knowledge and experience through working for a large insurance company, a large in-house pension scheme, a third-party consultancy and, most recently, another independent trustee company. During this time, Scott has acted as scheme secretary on a number of clients, as well as project managing several liability management exercises, scheme wind-up and buyout exercises.

Scott is fully-accredited by the Association of Professional Pension Trustees.
